I just received an email from Target. At first glance, it appears to be a positive step towards correcting their security breach. However, they should have realized that the letter would be met with skepticism. First off, they state, “Don’t click links within emails that you do not recognize.” The email came from TargetNews@target.bfi0.com. That looks sketchy to me. Then, three sentences later, they ask the reader to click a link. Even after going to the Target website without clicking on a link, I am still sketched out. Who’s to say the site hasn’t been hacked. I will pass on this for now and wait to see what the media has to say about it.
